Simoda Sustainability: Our Commitment to a Greener, Smarter Future
Sustainability isn’t a side project - it’s a core part of our mission to simplify, modernise, and accelerate positive change for our customers, our communities, and our environment.
Net Zero by 2050
Simoda is committed to becoming a low‑carbon, responsible technology business. We are taking measurable action to reduce our environmental impact and support a sustainable future for our customers, our communities and the planet.
Cutting Carbon Emissions
We are reducing emissions across our operations, travel, supply chain and digital infrastructure, supported by stronger data, smarter technology and continuous improvement.
Cleaner, Renewable Energy
We are actively transitioning our offices and cloud services toward renewable energy, working with our partners and building managers to reduce the carbon intensity of our operations.
Reducing Waste
From recycling improvements to cutting single‑use materials, we are taking steps to significantly reduce waste and support a more circular approach to resource use.
A Greener Technology Business
Sustainability is central to how we work. We publish regular progress updates, engage our supply chain, and continue to evolve our approach as we move confidently toward Net Zero by 2050.
01
Strengthening Carbon Measurement
Accurate data is the foundation of effective climate action. We will: Improve the accuracy of our Scope 1, 2 and priority Scope 3 reporting. Expand supplier engagement to collect more upstream emissions data. Enhance data collection from finance, operations and travel systems and continue aligning our reporting with PPN 006 and the GHG Protocol.
02
Reducing Emissions Across Operations
We are taking targeted action to reduce our carbon footprint across areas we directly control. Scope 1 (Fleet, Heating, Refrigerants): Electrifying more of our vehicle fleet. We are exploring renewable heating options with our landlord. Strengthening monitoring of refrigerant use Scope 2 (Electricity): Increasing access to renewable electricity. Prioritising energy efficient systems and cloud platforms powered by renewables. Improving energy use visibility across our sites
03
Accelerating Progress on Scope 3
Scope 3 emissions represent the largest share of our footprint. We will: Roll out supplier sustainability questionnaires across Tier 1–3 vendors. Reduce business travel emissions through smarter trip planning. Update our employee commuting data to improve accuracy. Improve recycling rates and secure weight based waste reporting.
04
Delivering on Our Long Term Pathway
2026 is a key year in preparing to meet our next milestone target in 2027. Our focus this year includes: Replacing more fleet vehicles with electric models. Reducing emissions from our highest impact suppliers. Embedding sustainability into operational decision making.
05
Innovating for a Low Carbon Future
Technology plays an essential role in decarbonisation. Throughout 2026 we will: Use AI and analytics to forecast emissions and identify reduction opportunities. Adopt low carbon IT solutions across our infrastructure. Partner with vendors and customers who share our sustainability values.

We have established full emissions baselines for 2023/2024
✔ Completed our first full GHG assessment covering
- Scope 1 emissions (heating, fleet and fugitive gases)
- Scope 2 emissions (purchased electricity)
- Early-stage Scope 3 measurements across commuting, travel, water and waste
These baselines gave us a clear foundation for long‑term planning and target‑setting.
✔ Completed and published our full 2024/2025 emissions report
We have now gathered, verified and reported our complete emissions data for the 2024/2025 reporting year, including expanded Scope 3 categories such as:
- Employee commuting
- Business travel
- Waste
- Supplier‑related categories under our new Scope 3 data collection programme
This marks a major milestone in the maturity of our environmental reporting.
✔ Carbon Reduction Plan published on the SME Climate Hub
Our updated, GHG‑aligned Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) covering 2023/24 baselines and 2024/25 results is now published publicly through the SME Climate Hub.
This demonstrates our commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous emissions reductions.
