Project Engineer – Cloud & Infrastructure
We’re looking for a hands-on Project Engineer to deliver highly technical customer projects across cloud, infrastructure, and modern workplace services. You’ll work closely with our Solutions Architect and Technical Project Manager to implement secure, stable solutions and transition them smoothly into Managed Services.

The role
- Deliver customer projects across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Windows Server, networking, and security.
- Implement approved designs and architectural standards, ensuring solutions are secure, resilient, and supportable.
- Troubleshoot complex issues during delivery and proactively raise risks and dependencies.
- Produce high-quality technical documentation and support structured handover into Managed Services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery standards, tooling, and templates.
What you’ll be doing
- Configure, deploy, validate, and test cloud and infrastructure services against technical and security requirements.
- Work closely with the Solutions Architect to understand design intent and deliver to specification.
- Coordinate day-to-day delivery with the Technical Project Manager to hit timelines and milestones.
- Provide progress updates and effort estimates; escalate blockers early.
- Identify and remediate configuration gaps or deviations from design.
- Ensure delivered solutions are operationally ready (monitoring, support model alignment, and knowledge transfer).
What you’ll bring
- Strong hands-on experience delivering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and infrastructure solutions.
- Experience with Azure networking, identity, security, and virtualisation services.
- Practical experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, and virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).
- Experience implementing Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and/or Remote Desktop Services (RDS) (or similar, e.g., Citrix, Parallels).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including producing technical documentation.
Nice to have
- Microsoft certifications aligned to Azure or Microsoft 365 (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-140, MS-102).
- Experience working within an MSP or IT services environment.
- Experience with firewall and networking platforms (e.g., Meraki, UniFi).
- Exposure to handover, support readiness, or service transition processes.
